Chando is currently residing with her family in New York City. Chando was an undergraduate in Manhattan College when she became an actor. Chando was the first Maddie Coleman of the television soap opera As World Turns. The character was played by Chando from 2005 until 2007, and again for several months in 2009 at the end. Alexandra first came to prominence acting in 2002, as she played Jenna Harper on the TV Series House Blend. As the World Turns on CBS was her first television performance after three years. Chando was also cast as a documentary television series in the US, True life, and appeared in Sherri. The actress starred in two episodes of the American television show drama-comedy Glory Daze. Also, she was on Castle, Hindsight and Dead People.
