Scarlett Johansson was born on the 22nd of November, 1984 in New York City New York. She is an American singer/actress whose range has won her recognition across many kinds of genres, from thrillers to adventure films to period dramas. Johansson was raised within New York City as the mother of an architect as well as an executive from a production firm. Her twin brother Hunter and she were her youngest siblings. From a young age she discovered a love for acting and began auditioning commercials at the age seven. Then she began her studies at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and then went to the Professional Children's School in Manhattan for further training in her craft. When she was eight years old, Johansson starred alongside Ethan Hawke as Sophistry in an Off-Broadway musical. When she was nine her debut film was Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson was later seen in Just Cause (1995) but her breakthrough was Manny & Lo (1996) which was a film about siblings who are orphaned and run away. In The Horse Whisperer, Johansson was a teenager who suffered a horrific accident. Her role in Ghost World brought her more notoriety as the infamous teenager Rebecca. Renee Felice Smith entered the realm of entertainment when she was very young. She was drawn to acting as a young child. Smith got her first job acting at the age of 6 years old, through the support of her parents. The role was in an Dannon yogurt commercial. Like many actresses who are new choose to pursue, she decided to build her talents in the theatre. When she performed her stage debut with Wildflower she would also work with various theatre projects in the USA. She was a student at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
